Section 1

Information We Collect

1.1 Information you give us directly
1.2 Information collected automatically
1.3 Information from optional permissions
1.4 Information we do not collect

We do not access, read, or store the contents of your private messages in third-party apps (WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, etc.). We do not have access to your contacts list unless you explicitly enable a future feature that requires it, with separate consent.

Section 2

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Section 3

AI Processing of Your Content

When you save an image to flayr, we send it to AI models (operated by us or by third-party providers such as Google's Gemini API) to extract:

This processing happens for every image you save, in order to make your library searchable. You can delete any saved item at any time, which removes both the image and its associated AI-generated metadata from your active library.

We do not use the content of your personal library to train publicly released AI models without separate, explicit opt-in consent.

Section 4

Voice Data

If you use voice search, audio is processed using on-device speech recognition where supported by your device, or sent to a cloud transcription service where on-device processing isn't available.

Voice audio is not retained after transcription; only the resulting text query is processed as described in Section 2.

Section 5

Aggregated & De-identified Data

We analyze patterns across our user base — such as which meme formats are trending, how search queries cluster by emotion, or which formats are losing relevance — to power features like trend detection and our cultural intelligence product for business customers.

This analysis uses de-identified and aggregated data only. It does not include your name, contact information, or any data that identifies you as an individual. We do not sell or share your individually identifiable personal data, your private library contents, or your message content with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their independent marketing purposes.

Section 6

How We Share Information

We share information only in these circumstances:

We do not sell your personal data.

Section 7

Data Retention

You can request full account and data deletion at any time (see Section 9).

Section 8

Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security review. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to promptly addressing any data incidents and notifying affected users and authorities as required by applicable law.

Section 9

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@flayr.wtf or use the in-app data controls under Settings → Privacy. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 30 days).

For users in India

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity. To file a grievance, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@flayr.wtf.

Section 10

Children's Privacy

flayr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@flayr.wtf and we will delete it.

Section 11

International Data Transfers

flayr is built for Indian users first, and our primary infrastructure is hosted with providers that may process data in jurisdictions outside India (including the United States, for certain AI processing services). Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including contractual protections with our service providers, consistent with applicable law.

Section 12

Cookies & Tracking

flayr.wtf uses minimal cookies and similar technologies necessary for site functionality and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.

Section 13

Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., when you share content via the share sheet, or import from messaging apps). This Privacy Policy does not cover the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their respective privacy policies separately.

Section 14

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
